Fredrick M. Glines, Chairman of the Board – Emeritus of Marlo,
Inc., passed away on July 24, 2005, after a courageous battle with
cancer.
Fred was born on December 3, 1925 in Racine, WI where
he lived and worked throughout his adult life. Following his retirement
from Marlo, Inc. Fred and his wife, Lois, relocated to Florida.
Fred proudly served his country in World War II in Burma
as a member of Merrill's Marauders. Upon returning from service in
the Far East he earned a commission and served as an Officer in the
Korean War. Fred was awarded several decorations while serving his
country, including two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.
Fred and his son, Mike, founded Marlo Inc in 1973 and
to this day Marlo has remained a family owned and operated business.
The employees of Marlo Incorporated are thankful that Fred had the
courage to follow his dream. He will be missed by all that knew him.
